This is a fully online, self-paced course designed for high school students. In World History, students engage in an in-depth study of global events and developments from the earliest human societies to the modern era. The course explores major turning points such as the Neolithic Revolution, the rise and spread of world religions, classical civilizations, expanding trade networks, technological diffusion, colonization and imperialism, global conflicts, revolutions, and movements for independence. This covers the full-year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.
Through the analysis of primary and secondary sources, cause-and-effect relationships, and historical patterns, students develop critical thinking and historical reasoning skills. The course encourages learners to draw meaningful connections between past events and current global issues, deepening their understanding of today’s interconnected world.
This is our Accredited Course version, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. This course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
