This is a fully online, self-paced course designed for high school students. In World Geography, students explore the physical and human characteristics of the Earth’s people, places, and environments. Through the study of regions around the world, students examine landforms, climate, natural resources, population patterns, cultures, economies, and political systems. This covers the full-year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.
Students will develop geographic thinking skills by analyzing maps, interpreting data, and understanding the relationships between people and their environments. This course encourages global awareness and helps students make connections between geographic patterns and current world events.
This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
