This is a fully online, self-paced course designed for high school students. (Semester 1 of 1)

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of weight training and body conditioning, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and personal fitness development. Students will learn about major muscle groups, resistance training principles, warm-up and cool-down routines, and goal-setting strategies for strength and endurance. Instruction covers both bodyweight and equipment-based exercises, with a focus on building foundational strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. Students will track their progress through fitness logs and self-assessments, gaining the knowledge and discipline needed to maintain a lifelong commitment to health and wellness in a flexible, independent learning environment.
