Introduce your child to the exciting world of coding with Programming Foundations! This fully online, self-paced course is designed for students in grades 2–5 and helps them build essential programming skills through fun and interactive lessons.
In this course, students learn the basics of programming using visual coding platforms such as Scratch. They explore key concepts such as sequencing, loops, logic, and debugging while creating their own games, stories, and animations. Through hands-on activities, students develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills that serve as the building blocks of all programming languages.
By the end of the semester, students will have created their own interactive projects and gained the confidence to continue exploring the world of coding.
Perfect for: Young learners who are curious about how games and apps are made and want to begin their journey into programming.
This is our Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher Support, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. A dedicated teacher provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
Parents can still participate by reviewing assignments, viewing answer keys, and providing additional feedback to their child.
