Programming Foundations (Grades 2-5) - Semester 1

Introduce your child to the exciting world of coding with Programming Foundations! This fully online, self-paced course is designed for students in grades 2–5 and helps them build essential programming skills through fun and interactive lessons.

In Semester 1, students learn the basics of programming using visual coding platforms such as Scratch. They explore key concepts such as sequencing, loops, logic, and debugging while creating their own games, stories, and animations. Through hands-on activities, students develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills that serve as the building blocks of all programming languages.

By the end of the semester, students will have created their own interactive projects and gained the confidence to continue exploring the world of coding.

This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
