Physical Science - Semesters 1 & 2

This fully online, self-paced Physical Science course explores the fundamental principles of matter and energy, integrating concepts from both chemistry and physics. This covers the full-year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Students examine the properties of matter, including elements, mixtures, compounds, and the periodic table. The course also covers chemical reactions, light, the electromagnetic spectrum, energy, heat, motion, Newton’s laws, and momentum. Emphasis is placed on scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and the application of concepts to real-world situations.

This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.

We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
