Photography Explorer with Mentor Teacher Support (Grades K-5) - Semester 1

Grades K–5. Let your child’s creativity shine through the lens with Photography Explorer. This fully online, self-paced course introduces young learners to the world of photography in a fun, hands-on way.

In this course, students explore the basics of photography, from framing a shot and understanding light to capturing everyday moments. They learn how to use simple photography tools, take interesting photos, and experiment with different perspectives. Whether using a smartphone, tablet, or camera, students develop an eye for composition and visual storytelling.

By the end of the semester, students will have a collection of creative photos and a new appreciation for the art of photography.

Ideal for: Curious kids who enjoy capturing the world around them and want to develop creativity and storytelling skills through photography.

This is our Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher Support, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. A dedicated teacher provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success. This is a one semester course.

Parents can still participate by reviewing assignments, viewing answer keys, and providing additional feedback to their child.
