Kindergarten Science with Special Education Support for Parents - Semester 2

This self-paced, online course introduces kindergarten students to the wonders of the natural world through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Students explore basic life, earth, and physical science concepts, including plants and animals, weather, the five senses, and simple properties of matter. Interactive activities, simple experiments, and guided observations encourage curiosity and build foundational scientific thinking in a flexible, supportive online environment.

Parents are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. They gain insight into their child’s learning needs, including diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or ADHD, and receive strategies tailored to visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. The platform includes activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills, which are foundational for academic success.

Parents also learn adaptive approaches to nurture scientific curiosity at their child’s own pace. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help customize instruction for each learner. Families have access to downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance to support science exploration throughout the course.
