This fully online, self-paced course allows students to develop their skills in journalistic writing, reporting, and article layout through independent projects. Students learn to research, write, and edit articles on topics of their choice while practicing deadlines, time management, and self-directed work. The course provides hands-on opportunities to create professional-quality content and builds the skills needed for real-world journalism and effective communication.
This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
