The course covers fundamental music theory, including notation, rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and texture, and incorporates ear training, composition, and arranging. Students will analyze classical, popular, and jazz works in terms of harmony and form, and will have opportunities to explore their own musical preferences. (Semester 1 of 1)
