HVAC 1

This competency-based course provides students with a strong foundation in HVAC. Through virtual reality and interactive videos, students will learn the primary duties of an HVAC technician, including identifying parts, understanding sequence of operations, troubleshooting, air conditioning systems, and basic financial considerations. Students will also explore basic electricity, heating and cooling principles, and fundamental copper and plastic piping practices. Safety protocols and essential math skills are integrated throughout the course.

Upon completion, students will have the work-related knowledge and skills necessary for a career in HVAC, earn a digital badge in HVAC, and be better prepared for the Level I HVAC Certification Exam.
