This self-paced, online course introduces third-grade students to foundational concepts of communities, geography, and citizenship. Students explore the roles and responsibilities of community members, learn to use maps and globes, and understand basic economic principles such as goods and services. The course promotes respect, cooperation, and cultural diversity through engaging lessons and hands-on activities. Students build critical thinking skills as they examine how people live and work together, fostering civic awareness and social responsibility in a flexible online environment.

Parents of neurodivergent learners are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. They gain insight into their child’s learning needs, including diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or ADHD, and receive strategies aligned with visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. The platform includes at-home activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills that support academic success.

Parents also learn adaptive approaches to support reading, writing, and organizational skills essential for social studies. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help personalize instruction for each learner. Families have access to downloadable resources, a supportive online community, and ongoing professional guidance throughout the course.

This course includes six months of access to all materials and resources. To learn more about our courses, visit https://onfirelearning.com/course-catalog/.
