This self-paced, online course introduces second-grade students to the basics of community, geography, and cultural awareness. Students explore family traditions, community roles, and the importance of rules and responsibilities. The course strengthens simple map skills, including recognizing landforms and using cardinal directions. Through stories, songs, and interactive activities, students develop cooperation, respect, and an understanding of how people contribute to their communities. This flexible learning environment encourages curiosity and builds foundational social studies skills.
Parents of neurodivergent learners are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. They gain insight into their child’s learning needs, including diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or ADHD, and receive strategies aligned with visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. The platform provides activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills that support reading, writing, and social studies development.
Parents also receive adaptive approaches to support academic progress at their child’s own pace. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help customize instruction for each learner. Families have access to downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance throughout the course.
This course includes six months of access to all materials and resources. To learn more about our courses, visit https://onfirelearning.com/course-catalog/.
