This self-paced, online course introduces first-grade students to foundational social studies concepts through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Students explore families, communities, and neighborhoods while learning about roles, traditions, cooperation, and respect. The course builds basic geography skills, including understanding maps, directions, and community landmarks. Through stories, songs, and interactive activities, students develop cultural awareness, social responsibility, and a sense of belonging in a flexible, supportive learning environment.

Parents of neurodivergent learners are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. They gain insight into their child’s learning needs, including diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or ADHD, and receive strategies aligned with visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. The platform includes activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills that support academic success.

Parents also receive adaptive strategies to support social and academic growth at their child’s own pace. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help tailor instruction to each learner. Families have access to downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance throughout the course.

This course includes six months of access to all materials and resources. To learn more about our courses, visit https://onfirelearning.com/course-catalog/.
