Drones

This self-paced, online course prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to obtain the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot Certificate. Students engage in virtual reality and interactive videos to learn the skills and qualities of a pilot, including how weather affects drone flight and the physics involved in flying.

Topics covered include emergency procedures, preflight inspections, radio communication, VLOS operations, sectional charts, aerial photography, and search and rescue operations. Students gain hands-on experience through immersive exercises designed to build confidence and competence.

Upon completion, students will earn a digital badge in Drones and be better prepared to obtain the Remote Pilot Certificate.

A drone is not included in this purchase.

This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child. We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
