This is a fully online, self-paced course. This digital literacy course introduces students to essential computer skills for success in today’s technology-driven world. Students explore a broad range of topics, including computer hardware and software, computer systems, the Internet, and safe online practices.
Students will also learn the basics of programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and cryptography while developing practical technology skills. By the end of the course, students will be able to troubleshoot basic computer problems, use Google applications, and create simple computer programs.
This course is ideal for beginners who want to build a strong foundation in digital literacy. (Semester 1 of 1)
This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
