This is a fully online, self-paced course. (Semester 1 of 1)
Introduce your student to the art of Dance in this engaging course designed for grades 6–12. Students will explore a variety of dance styles, learn essential techniques, and discover how movement can combine fitness and self-expression. Students will build foundational skills in rhythm, coordination, and posture while sampling styles such as jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and basic ballet. Lessons combine technique with creative activities, encouraging students to choreograph short routines and express themselves through movement.
By the end of the semester, students will gain confidence, flexibility, and an appreciation for dance as both an art form and a healthy activity. Perfect for middle and high school students who enjoy music, creativity, and exploring new ways to move.
This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
