Carpentry

This competency-based course provides students with a solid foundation in carpentry. Learners will engage with virtual reality and interactive videos designed to teach the use of basic measuring tools, hand tools, and machines commonly used in carpentry, while constructing practical projects. Students will also explore various wood materials and their properties, learn components of site and personal safety, and gain skills to interpret detailed construction drawings.

Upon completion of this course, students will earn a digital badge in Carpentry, gain work-related knowledge and skills for careers in the field, and be better prepared for the Carpentry Certification Exam.
