Accredited Astronomy - Semester 1

This fully online, self-paced Astronomy course introduces students to the study of stars, galaxies, and cosmology. Students examine the nature of light and matter, learn how telescopes and spectroscopy are used in astronomical research, and explore stellar formation and evolution. Additional topics include galaxies, quasars, and the large-scale structure of the universe. (Semester 1 of 1)

This course helps students develop scientific reasoning skills while deepening their understanding of the universe.

This is our Accredited Course version, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. This course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.

We also offer this course as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
