This is a fully online, self-paced course designed for students in Grades 9–12. Introduction to Architecture explores the dynamic relationship between art, science, history, and design. Students will examine how architecture influences the way people live, work, and interact within their communities. (Semester 2 of 2)
Throughout the course, students will study foundational principles such as form, function, structure, scale, and sustainability. They will analyze architectural styles from ancient civilizations to modern skyscrapers, explore the stories behind iconic structures, and complete creative design projects that encourage sketching, spatial planning, and problem-solving.
This is our Accredited Course version, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. This course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
