Animal Science

This competency-based course introduces students to the scientific principles of animal behavior, growth, and development, as well as basic animal body systems. Students will apply these principles to animal management, proper nutrition, and disease prevention. Using virtual reality and interactive videos, learners will practice basic livestock surgical procedures, injection techniques, and gain a deeper understanding of the digestive system and essential animal terminology.

Upon completion of this course, students will earn a digital badge in animal science and be better prepared for the Animal Science certification exam.
