6th Grade World Civilizations - Semester 1

In this 6th-grade, digital, self-paced World Civilizations course, students explore the histories and cultures of major regions worldwide, including Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The course is organized into four main components: History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. Through the study of significant people, places, and events, students develop problem-solving, information-processing, and map-reading skills. This course represents Semester 1 of 2.

This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.

We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
