Accredited 6th Grade Language Arts - Semester 1

In this 6th Grade Language Arts course, students develop reading, writing, listening, speaking, discussion, reflection, and viewing skills. The curriculum includes reading strategies, critical thinking, and vocabulary development to strengthen reading comprehension. Students read a variety of genres, including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and apply reading strategies to improve understanding. The course also focuses on narrative, informational, and argumentative writing to strengthen writing skills. The overall goal of the course is to improve students' literacy and communication skills. This course represents Semester 1 of 2.
