5th Grade Science - Semester 1 & 2

This is a fully online, self-paced Fifth Grade Science course. Students analyze and interpret data about Earth's major systems and how they interact. They plan and carry out investigations to explain the properties of matter and determine whether new substances form when matter is combined. Students construct explanations for how matter cycles and energy flows through environments and Earth's systems, and they design and evaluate solutions to related scientific problems.

This is our Accredited Course version, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. This course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child. This covers the full-year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.

We also offer this course as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
