4th Grade Reading with Mentor Teacher Support - Semester 1

This is a fully online, self-paced Fourth Grade Reading course. Students develop the ability to speak and write Standard English while strengthening their skills in reading, comprehension, and literary analysis. Areas addressed include listening and oral language skills, vocabulary development, reading and literature study, comprehension strategies, writing and composition, and grammar and mechanics.

The goals of the reading program are to instill a love of reading in all students by introducing engaging texts and authors. Students explore different purposes for reading through a variety of subgenres, worksheets, hands-on projects, and art activities. State standards are adhered to in this course and are noted in the unit overviews.

This is our Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher Support, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. A dedicated teacher provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success. This course represents Semester 1 of 2 semesters.

Parents can still participate by reviewing assignments, viewing answer keys, and providing additional feedback to their child.
