This is a fully online, self-paced Third Grade Social Studies course. Students build conceptual understandings of community, culture, and government. They learn basic geographic terms and features necessary for human settlement and success. Students apply their understanding of culture and community as they study Indigenous cultures of the Americas. They also explore the rights and responsibilities central to representative government.
This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child. This course covers the full year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.
We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
